Description and Table of Contents
Description
The aim of this book is to inform debate both within political parties and amongst those interested in British defence policy by supplying data on British public attitudes towards nuclear weapons. The survey was undertaken in August 1987 and about 2400 respondents were interviewed throughout the mainland of the United Kingdom. The book is designed to provide information on the state of public knowledge on defence issues, and the results of the survey supply a large amount of sociological data as well as some insight into why many people hold the views that they do.
