As a result of the National Curriculum, Design and Technology takes on a greater importance in primary schools. This book brings together a collection of articles which should help all primary teachers to implement Design and technolgy in the classroom. It also contains examples of good practice and illustrates the professional issues arising from such practice. The contributors are practising teachers or lecturers who have been involved in design and technology in schools. Some of the articles first appeared in "Education 3-13", whilst others have been specially commissioned for this book. All of them aim to reflect the journal's policy of straightforward writing about educational practice which can be successfully transferred to the classroom.
