Rape, serial murder, satanic and ritualistic crimes are considered in this book which provides a practical approach to assessing violent crimes and outlines crime scene elements which offer insight not only into the type of crime involved but also into the type of person who may be involved in committing such a crime. The author combines social and behavioural theory with practical criminology research. He argues that profiling should be used as a forensic tool to compliment a thorough investigation.
