This book aims to provide a practical guide to the intricacies of the town and country planning system as it effects a conveyancing transaction. It sets out problems which might be encountered and offers practical solutions. This new edition has been updated to take into account the many changes in statute law and case law, including the Housing Act 1988 (including Housing Action Trusts), the Town and Country Planning Regulations of 1988 and 1989 and the General Development Order 1988. Some 15 new examples of case law, laying down guide-line for consideration of policy by authorities are also included and there are new sections on planning policy guidance, housing action trust areas, and minerals policy.
