内容説明

This book is based on an account of a curriculum project entitled "Teaching About Mental Handicap in Secondary Schools". A university-based research team worked with teachers to develop curricula designed to improve pupils' knowledge and critical understanding of mental handicap. In each school an attempt was made to integrate the project into ongoing curriculum develoment plans and relate the research to teachers' current professional concerns and personal commitments. In this way it was hoped the project would make a lasting impact on the curriculum.
