Progress in Predictive Toxicology provides an overview of the present level of development of the major aspects of toxicology and a series of short authoritative opinions on the way in which these areas need to be directed. Aspects of toxicology that are discussed include the necessarily rigid adherence to practical details, the newest sub-specialities such as behavioral toxicology and immunotoxicology, and the use of toxicology in product safety assessment. Chapters are written by internationally recognized experts in each sub-specialty, and a presentation of the present status of toxicology is given that is not over-cluttered by minutia. The book also includes chapters written to be of use to non-specialists and students in the area of concern.
