Description and Table of Contents

Description

Complementing an earlier title in the series, "Immune Recognition", this book explores all elements of antigen presentation which occur during thymic development of T cells, with the action of immunostimulation of resting T cells in secondary lymphoid tissue, and with the different forms of antigen presentation which take place during the effector stages of the immune response. The book also presents new data on the properties of dendritic leukocytes, the molecular pathways of antigen processing, the ways in which MHC molecules bind to antigenic receptor cells to stimulate T helper cells, and the role of antigen presentation in immune responses in vivo.

Table of Contents

  • Immune recognition
  • antigen presentation in immune responses
  • accessory cells in culture
  • antigen processing and immunostimulation
  • accessory cells in vivo
