Description and Table of Contents
Description
The books in this series aim to reflect the enormous economic and political changes that small and medium-sized nations in East and South-East Asia have been undergoing in the 1970s and 1980s and to show the impact of these changes on the world economy. This book aims to fill the gap in the literature in English on banking in Taiwan. It includes an historical review of the banking system, different types of financial institutions and their statistics, an analysis of monetary policy at different periods, and a summary of development strategy. Lee Sheng-Yi's book "Monetary and Banking Development of Malaysia and Singapore" was awarded a prize with honor by the Singapore Book Development Council in 1976.
