Description

This volume records the proceedings of a recent colloquium organized by The British Library to survey resources available to Women's Studies researchers in the UK. The collected papers include: a review of the state of Women's Studies in British Universities; an overview of British Library resources in Western and Oriental collections of printed books, newspapers, manuscripts and archival materials; a discussion of present and future collection development in the BL and other research libraries; and the user perspective. With contributions from librarians, academics, writers and publishers, this colloquium records a survey of current trends and likely future developments in the subject. "Women's Studies" is the 12th volume in a series of Occasional Papers which cover aspects of librarianship in a national and international context.
