Description and Table of Contents
Description
This series provides students, lecturers and the general reader with complete and fully annotated editions of the major English poets. The poems are arranged in the chronological order of their composition, and each has a headnote on its general significance, footnotes elucidating its local obscurities and a discussion of its meaning and occasion. This edition of the poems of Keats has long been regarded as the standard authoritative edition for students and scholars. When first published in 1970 it was a milestone in Keats' scholarship: it was the first complete, chronological, annotated edition, based on a fresh examination of the texts of the poems and containing a full critical apparatus and commentary
