Forecasting is an analytical technique used in business, commerce and industry and this book attempts to generate figures to represent anticipated demands for resources, either financial, physical or personnel. It offers the facility for the user to experiment with forecasting models on their own data, on a microcomputer and the spreadsheet packages Lotus 1-2-3 or VP Planner. The book recognizes the link between forecasting and predicting and helps the user to compare the accuracy of the two approaches and combine the positive features of both.
