内容説明
In its description of lower-paid workers in an African public corporation, this volume presents an original contribution to the discussion of class formation in contemporary Africa. Primarily an empirical study of the Dock Workers' Union at the Sierra Leone port organization, analysis is made of the union's attitudes, relation with management, political elites, and views of other trade unions. Written for students of political economy, sociology, labor relations and public administration. Co-published with Dalhousie University Press.
