内容説明
This book studies the inter-relationship between the level of development of industrial capital and its effect and provides a framework for the redefinition of the concept `unorganized sector'. The author first demonstrates that the path followed by industrial capital in India was different from that in Europe, primarily because of India's colonial experience. The second part of the book consists of a case study of the woollen hosiery industry. The consequences in terms of working class consciousness and the development of a trade union movement are examined.
