Description
Schools reflect one of the greatest investments of any society's resources - investments of finances, talented personnel, and commitment of time and energy by youth. It is therefore essential that schools make every effort to prevent behavioural and psychological problems of students, and promote their psychological well-being. This volume draws together educators and mental health professionals to present examples of theory-based prevention programmes - programmes which have proved highly successful.
Primary Prevention and Promotion in the Schools is drawn from the 1987 Vermont Conference on the Primary Prevention of Psychopathology.
