内容説明

The new edition of this text has been substantially expanded and updated. Providing a practical and comprehensive introduction to the how and why computers are used in business and elsewhere in society, the text is suitable for introductory courses in business data processing and computer awareness. New features of this edition include a thorough up-date and expansion of areas which have evolved since the first edition. Database and data communication, significant reorganization of material including systems materials, knowledge based systems are all covered. A new case study - Togo Toys - is now developed throughout each chapter in the book. Readings are integrated into the text and the cases are now at the end of appropriate chapters rather than grouped at the end of the text. The book includes appendices on DOS programming and and expert systems and emphasizes information flow through an organization and how computers aid information management.
