Ce dictionnaire concerne principalement le persan contemporain, mais comprend aussi le vocabulaire classique le plus courant. Il s'efforce de couvrir les divers registres de la langue usuelle, y comprend le plus familier. Il accorde une attention particuliere a la phraseologie, tres importante en persan, et il indique toujours la rection des verbes et locutions verbales.
Voulu aussi riche que possible sous un volume peu encombrant, il a ete redige d'une maniere critique, visant a la fois la clarte et la concision. Il comprend environ 30,000 mots en 24,000 articles.
This is mainly a dictionary of contemporary Persian, but it also includes the most common words of classical Persian. It tries to cover all levels of the language, including the most colloquial one. Phraseology, which is especially important for a Persian dictionary, has been given special attention. Simple and compound verbs are always mentioned with their constructions.
Conceived as critical, aiming at both clearness and conciseness, this dictionary is fully comprehensive. It comprises some 30,000 words in 24,000 articles.
