Description
This volume contains papers presented at the International Conference on "River Flood Hydraulics" held at Wallingford. The aim of the conference is to link current experimental and analytical research to the needs of engineering practice. The topics selected for the conference cover areas of international research interest and practical importance with a view to providing a forum for advancing the art of river engineering. The major topics covered by the conference include: flood analysis and prediction, field data, hydraulics of flood flows, sediment transport and morphological effects, physical and numerical modelling, engineering design, maintenance and operation of schemes.
