Description
This book has been designed to serve as a reliable resource for assessing the scope and impact of obesity and its complications, determining health policy and priorities in obesity, and identifying areas of need in research. All extant data sources have been exploited, both published and unpublished worldwide. The book will be a first step in the study and prevention strategy of obesity and should stimulate further interdisciplinary scientific cooperation and promote the basis of social health and welfare.
