Description
The focus of this publication lies in the procedures by which the problems of multicriterion optimization can be solved. Each procedure is described and defined mathematically, then demonstrated with an example. Both the positive and the negative facets of the proposed single methods are evaluated and criteria for appropriate application are given. All the methods described are divided into relatively homogenous groups on the basis of their characteristic properties. The practical applicability of separate procedures is demonstrated on models which satisfy the requirements of planning and managerial practice in agriculture. Attention is also paid to some special questions from the field of systems analysis and the theory of model construction, areas closely related to the problem being examined. In this way one can achieve a complete overview of multicriterion optimization which will enable a critical judgement of its potential effect.
