内容説明

The events in eastern Europe in 1989 were largely unexpected. The extent of the transformation of the socities subject to the cataclysmic events of that year are still far from clear. The papers in this volume present an analysis of revolution and counter-revolution in a variety of settings. It is hoped that some of the arguments set out here may help academics and politicians come to a just evaluation of events of this nature in our own time.
