内容説明
The author, in an attempt to break down what he sees to be the deadlock in ecumenical unity, takes a close look at Vatican I and the papacy, believing it to be the main obstacle to the desired goal of unity between Christians. He challenges the authority of that first council and raises questions regarding the truth and validity of the dogmas of papal primacy and papal infallibility as defined by Vatican I. The book contends that the courageous step taken by Pope Paul VI in addressing the Anglican communion as a sister church should be extended to other Protestant denominations as well. First published in 1984 in India by Gujarat Sahitya Prakash.
