Description
A comprehensive taxonomic guide in four volumes to the flora of the New Zealand botanical region for anyone wishing to identify and name plants. This volume describes the introduced wild plants belonging to the rush, sedge, lily, iris, arum and related families, but excluding grasses. Some of the plants are considered as "weeds', are difficult to identify individually and cannot easily be distinguished from the native species. Others are garden plants which have escaped into the wild. Some "dangerous" weeds are also considered. The mode of dispersal and other ecological data relating to the more aggressive species are also dicussed.
