Description
Raymond Briggs's Christmas classic - the wonderful and hilarious Father Christmas.
Father Christmas awoke from his lovely dream of summer in the sun, and there it was on the calendar, December 24th, Christmas Eve - the start of his longest night's work of the year! This book was awarded The Library Association's Kate Greenaway Medal, and has been a firm favourite ever since its first publication. It has also been turned into a much-loved animation.
Raymond Briggs studied at Wimbledon Art School, the Central School of Art and the Slade. Many of his books are now classics and some - THE SNOWMAN, FATHER CHRISTMAS, FATHER CHRISTMAS GOES ON HOLIDAY and WHEN THE WIND BLOWS - have been made into successful films. Raymond Briggs lives in Sussex.
