Description
This volume demonstrates the reaction patterns of lymph nodes in the development and spread of cancer, as detected with modern morphological methods. Specific patterns are described in experimental models and in human tissue slides, including immunohistochemistry at the light microscopic and ultrastructural levels. The induction of fibronectin and the role of macrophages/reticulum cells in the tumour-associated immune response of lymph nodes is of particular interest. There is also an extensive survey of primary immunodeficiency syndromes (including AIDS) and their nodal manifestations. This monograph on pathology, immunology, oncology is intended for clinicians and researchers.
Table of Contents
Reaction Patterns of Lymph Nodes in the Development and Spread of Cancer. Patterns of Fibronectin Induction in Lymph Nodes Affected by Metastatic Growth of Adenocarcinomas. Macrophages/Reticulum Cells in Early and Late Phases of Lymphogenous Metastasis. Primary Immunodeficiency Syndromes and Their Manifestation in Lymph Nodes. Immunological Dysregulation of Lymph Nodes in AIDS Patients. Lymph Node Reaction Patterns in Patients with AIDS or AIDS-related Complex.
