Description and Table of Contents
Description
Cattle have, for centuries, been the major suppliers of meat and milk production. Any diseases/disorders from which they suffer often lead to either sub-optimal production or death, and can have a major economic effect on a community reliant on cattle. This book focuses on the diagnosis and condition of such diseases. While concentrating on those based on visual examination, it also includes a large of number internal views. The conditions featured range from problems such as necrosis, caused by tail bands, to more serious diseases such as foot-and-mouth and rinerpest. Intended for practising veterinarians, for those in government service, students, livestock producers, farmers, and stocksmen, the text aims to improve the effective diagnosis and treatment of such diseases, thereby reducing economic loss and the unnecessary pain/discomfort endured by cattle.
