This volume covers the recent advances in our understanding of the pathophysiology and treatment of asthma. Our understanding of asthma has changed dramatically in recent years, and much of this information is brought together by internationally recognised authorities. They review the changing concepts of the inflammatory processes in asthma and discuss the implications for research and future therapy of this common chronic disease. Each chapter is illustrated with diagrams and photographs.
