Description
This colour atlas, developed from a collaborative study at Columbia University, involves the pathological examination and classification of spontaneous abortion specimens. The illustrations and succinct text provide a detailed source of information on abnormal human development. The book summarizes recent research and development in the study of the morphological spectrum characteristic of chromosome abnormalities that lead to prenatal death. It is especially timely given the increased interest in foetal medicine as more techniques of prenatal diagnosis have become available and as patients have begun to ask physicians more questions about the course and outcome of pregnancy.
