Description
This collection of lectures is intended to be used as a textbook for graduate students who require information on modern developments in astronomy and astrophysics. The first part surveys various aspects of the late stages of stellar evolution, including observation and theory. An article on stellar structure is followed by reviews of supernovae, circumstellar envelopes and the evolution of binaries. The second part of the book deals with the problem of modelling stellar evolution based on the computational hydrodynamics.
