内容説明

Since the death of Francisco Franco in 1975, Spain has moved from a position of isolation within Europe into a position of influence. The successful establishment of democracy and entry into the European Community and NATO served to make foreign policy an important issue for the Spanish government. This volume is a comprehensive overview of Spanish foreign policy since democratization, and it also provides new information on the delicate process of reform within the military. The chapters have been reviewed and criticised via a series of meetings that included leading US and Spanish military and political figures.
