内容説明
Ethical issues in health education is an area of increasing importance which has to date been largely neglected. This multidisciplinary book encompasses many models of healthcare and education and addresses the ethical questions which arise from them. Many serious problems of health and disease are linked to lifestyle and behaviour, and health education is only one of many factors which affect and dictate peoples' behaviour. Questions addressed in this book include are there any ethical issues in the attempts to educate and to learn as regards our health? and to what extent should we allow the state and other agencies to influence our life and behaviour? The book aims to stimulate discussion amongst those in the health sciences and professions, and also amongst lawyers, philosophers, sociologists and political decision-makers.
