内容説明

Tables of normal radiologic measurements in children are given in this book in a format especially designed for easy use in the paediatrician's daily routine. The authors have compiled the most important measurement methods and values from original literature and, by recalculating the data, present the statistical upper and lower normal limits as plus or minus 2SD (two standard deviations). The measurements can easily be compared. The tables for each measurement are easy to read according to age, height and weight and so on. Brief background information, the imaging material and the methods of assessment are also given. Normal anatomy and proportions in children may vary during growth and may also differ considerably from those of adults. It is therefore essential, even for the experienced radiologist, to have a standard based on numerous paediatric radiological examinations. With this reference, every paediatric radiologist can be equipped with normal standard values with which to compare and more easily identify abnormal measurements. This reference book on radiology and paediatrics is intended for clinicians and practitioners.
