In this volume, twenty leading sociologists consider the dichotomy between micro and macro level analysis in social research. All demonstrate the inescapable connections between the two, and attempt to link them together. This topic is approached from various theoretical perspectives including the interrelationship of large scale and small scale theories, variables and concepts.
