内容説明
A study of various forms of terrorism that, the authors argue, have been sponsored or supported by the USA and some of its allies. It opposes the view that most serious terrorist actions are perpertrated against Western democracies by maverick states, such as Syria and Iran. The book also examines the broad and long-term political ends to which these forms of terrorism has been put. The contributors include Noam Chomsky, Richard Falk (on the part of terrorism in US foreign policy), Michael McClintock (on the concept of counter-insurgency in US military doctrine), Bill Rolston (on terrorism in Northern Ireland), Joseph Hanlon (on South African state terrorism), and Benjamin Beit-Hallahmi (on Israel's exportation of military technology).
