内容説明

The entry of new competitors into markets is an important phenomenon which has generated a considerable amount of recent research, much of it theoretical. This book takes an empirical view of the nature of the entry process, including studies of markets in the USA, East and West Europe and Japan. Each chapter presents work based on large-scale data sets that have been constructed to provide information on new entrants and the scale of their activities.
