This study introduces the reader to the application of decision making tools to crisis management. The topic is treated by means of a series of papers which are gathered into three groups, each one addressing a specific domain: information and decision structures; stability with respect to burden sharing problems, force ratios and deterrence; and assessment, negotiations and verifications procedures. The book aims to break down and analyze crisis management problems using operations research, game theory, computer and systems science and strategic modelling. This book of proceedings on operations research, game theory, computer science and military science is intended for the use of researchers.
