内容説明

The authors present recent developments and enhancements of their "Michigan Model of World Production and Trade" together with the major results that the model has produced over the last seven years. The book provides details of the model and describes a number of its applications to a variety of important issues of trade policy in both industrialized and developing countries. Analysis of the key issues in the Uruguay Round of GATT Multilateral Trade Negotiations is also included. In addition to an assessment of the impact of both tariff and non-tariff barriers to trade, the authors also provide estimates of the sectoral employment impacts of trade policies. These results should be of importance to policy-makers in designing domestic adjustment policies and responding to the policies of major trading partners.
