Description and Table of Contents
Description
The aim of this concise volume is to provide the practitioner with basic, step-by-step information on key aspects of the law regarding unfair dismissal. Concentrating on the client interview to establish the validity of the claim, it guides the practitioner through the necessary paperwork to bring the claim before an industrial tribunal and the conduct of the hearing itself. Procedures are illustrated with the aid of checklists, ready-to-use forms and precedents and a table of time-limits are also included. The author takes into account the Employment Act and recent regulations to give tribunals power to deal with wrongful dismissal. There are references to cases such as EMO, P.P. versus Byrne and Clayton versus Viggers. Throughout, appeals processes and potential solutions through conciliation are outlined.
