内容説明
The last two decades have seen a proliferation of films, television programmes and videos about the arts, but as of yet there has been little critical discussion about how the media have approached their subject. This book attempts to redress this by bringing together a collection of articles looking at how the media represent various aspects of the visual arts and artists involved in them. Along with a number of specially commissioned articles addressing topics such as the history of arts coverage on British TV, how the media represents feminist art and the impact of various postmodern arts and media practices, the book also reprints key critical pieces previously published in journals such as "Screen", "Undercut" and "Wide Angle".
