Description and Table of Contents

Description

Emphasizing the growing emergence of modified grades of polystyrene plastics, this text commences with a review of the background of two main types of polystrene plastics. The authors introduce readers to the prospects and general problems of polymer modification, covering the most important basic monomers and future developments in polystyrene plastics. Theoretical and technological aspects of styrene polymerization are summarized, and ensuing chapters provide theoretical background followed by a description of the technological processes and a review of the properties of resulting polymers, as well as test procedures for evaluation. Each chapter contains information on the processes and applications of modified polystyrene plastics. Toxicological, economic and ecological aspects of preparation and application are indicated where necessary.
