Description

This text treats oscillators as the sum of two circuit elements: the active circuit element (including the transistor) and the frequency-determining resonant circuit element. This book provides step-by-step procedures for designing each element in isolation and then combining them to produce the final, low phase noise oscillator. This approach allows for design, construction and adjustment of each element to satisfy specified oscillation conditions. Throughout, the presentation focuses on the key factors to be kept in mind when designing for minimum phase noise.

Table of Contents
