Description
This book is based on the continuing need to discover what it is about senior executives and the systems they use that has significant effects on the companies they work for, and ultimately makes them successful. The Doing of Managing is the result of a unique research project by the authors which included interviews with 47 senior executives from companies such as Lucas, TSB, Hansen Trust, and Marks and Spencer, to establish how each went about doing their job. The book includes:. * An overview of the process of the doing of managing. * How managers organise themselves. * Analysis of teams and teamworking. * Material from a series of interviews with leading UK Management. This book does not attempt to prove, test, predict or change anything, rather it concentrates on providing all those invlolved in management with practical insights into the processes involved.
