Description
There is no system in the body that does not show major physiological changes during the course of normal pregnancy. This book examines and, where possible, explains these physiological adaptions and is principally a guide for clinicians. In this edition all the chapters have been extensively revised. The chapter on drug metabolism has been extended and includes discussion on pharmacokinetics. There is also a new chapter on the physiology of the foetus.
