内容説明

Vibration condition monitoring is a relatively new area of technology. This text opens with an outline of its origins and presents possible applications of the technique, demonstrating the role of vibration diagnostics and vibration condition monitoring during the machine running stage. The author provides a rationale for using vibration, noise, gas pulsation and acoustic emission, describing and analyzing the possible sources of progressive wear and fatigue in machines. Whether to use VA processes for diagnostic observation is examined from a quantitative viewpoint of the basis of information theory. The application of spectral analysis in VCM and the application of special point measures and functional measures are explained. The author provides examples of ways that VCM can be used in industry, particularly in high-powered fans, diesel engines, textile machinery and electric motors. The text concludes by covering methods and examples of fault discrimination in passive diagnostic experiments, and outlines some techniques for condition recognition.

目次

  • Generation of VA phenomena and wear processes
