He concludes that many of its roots are to be found in the US-Iranian warfare that has flared intermittently since the fall of the Shah. He offers explanations of a number of relevant topics, drawing on many of his sources - public, private and secret - on all sides of the issues and at the highest levels of government. The author also wrote "Libyan Sandstorm" and "Green March, Black September".
