内容説明
Pharmacological research has been initiating new ways of administering drugs that seem like magic. New delivery systems are leaving the beaten paths of oral administration and injections and are instead forging alternative routes that are more direct and cause less damage to body sites visited along the way. "Targeted Drug Delivery" considers the biological basis of drug targeting and the use of protein engineering and molecular biological approaches. Ten chapters review topics at the forefront of research: polymeric systems, microparticulate systems, transdermal delivery and the use of prodrugs in delivery. This text may be of interest to clinicians as well as researchers, focusing on developments in controlled and targeted drug delivery. This handbook on pharmacology, pharmaceutics, biochemistry, polymer science, oncology and chemotherapy is intended for clinicians and researchers.
