内容説明
Intended to equip clinicians for psychiatric practice in general hospitals, this book aims to provide information on a variety of psychiatric illnesses which range from organic psychiatric disorders to alcohol and drug-related problems, and suicide. The author suggests that no clinical assessment is complete without consideration of the patient's social background and emotional symptoms. Management of more complicated cases has been made easier by the integration of psychiatric departments within general hospitals, thereby ending over a century of geographical and intellectual separation. Most general hospitals now have a psychiatric service although in some areas this remains rudimentary. The author hopes his work will enable clinicians to unit medical and mental health care.
