内容説明

This volume is a collection of general reviews on selected areas of synaptic transmission from the Kelvin Conferences on Synaptic Transmission which were initiated in July 1990 with the objectives of providing an opportunity for younger scientists to meet with established figures in an informal setting. The subjects included were specifically selected to encompass both mainstream reviews (eg LTP, opioid receptors and 5HT3 receptors), topics which frequently receive less detailed consideration than they deserve (eg opioids and memory, opioids and respiratory depression), the slightly esoteric (eg Beta-casomorphins) or the very new (eg nitric oxice as a transmitter).
