内容説明
In "Beyond Education", Alan M. Thomas argues that the key to meaningful teaching and to solving our social and environmental problems lies in the management of learning - that is, the series of decisions through which individuals and groups pinpoint learning needs and then decide how to meet them. Thomas explores advanced technologies, immigration, and new demands for adult learning needs beyond the scope of traditional education. He argues that important learning occurs in families, libraries and other organizations outside formal education systems. He also explores how co-operative education, experiential learning programmes, and other alternative approaches can strengthen lifelong learning.
