内容説明
Each volume in this series examines the current political and economic status of a country in Eastern Europe and explores the business opportunities available. Each book follows a similar format, providing information on market potential, business culture, the currency and its convertibility, transport and distribution, and trade and project finance. Case studies provide examples of companies who have already established bases in each country, and appendices provide details of the relative strengths and weaknesses of the economy and government. This study of Poland analyzes the Polish government's monetarist and market-orientated policies, introduced in January 1990, which have led to an ambitious economic reform programme. It describes the legislation which has been introduced on rights of ownership, privatization and competition, and the efforts made by the Polish government to encourage foreign investment and aid.
