Description and Table of Contents
Description
Each volume in this series examines the current political and economic status of a country in Eastern Europe and explores the business opportunities available. Each book follows a similar format, providing information on market potential, business culture, the currency and its convertibility, transport and distribution, and trade and project finance. Case studies provide examples of companies who have already established bases in each country, and appendices provide details of the relative strengths and weaknesses of the economy and government. This study of Czechoslovakia describes how the country has one of the highest standards of living and lowest external debt problems in Eastern Europe. It explores how the federal government is currently re-establishing the country's industries through a programme of modernization and expansion of external trade within the EEC.
